Sebastian immigrated with his parents while he was a teenager from Colombia, South America. He was an avid soccer player and accepted a college scholarship to play soccer.
After college he wanted to give back and in 2012 he joined the United States Air Force as a Firefighter and Medic and eventually transitioned into a Flight Medic specializing in emergency medical evacuations.
Sebastian began training in MMA and Muay Thai until his supervisor in the military forbid him from training due to his job. Seb transitioned full time to training BJJ and never looked back.
Sebastian’s BJJ journey has been unorthodox due to being in the military and traveling so much. Seb has trained all over the country and the world do to his career. He enjoys being on the mat and being a positive influence on students journeys.
Sebastian currently works and travels as an Emergency Room nurse. Sebastian earned his Masters in Nursing.
